Two people, one short season, a lot of notes

We’re a two-person household in upstate New York, zone 5b, growing outdoors on a season that’s shorter than we’d like and colder than most of the internet’s advice assumes. Neither of us has a horticulture background — one of us builds software, the other teaches, and the plants happen on evenings and weekends.

We started because the local advice for a 90-day growing window was thin, and most of what we found online was written for zone 9 and didn’t translate. Filming what we were already doing, and writing it down properly, turned out to be more useful than either of us expected.

This site exists because YouTube is a bad place to search. If you’ve ever tried to find “when to flip outdoor plants zone 5b” in a video description, you know why. Everything here is the same information, organized so it’s findable months after we filmed it.
