Bud development through the bulk of flower. Selective defoliation to open up light and airflow to lower bud sites, and active mold watch as nights get cooler and dew becomes a daily event.
Common mistakes at this stage
- Taking more than a third of the fan leaves at once, or defoliating from the top third where the leaves are still feeding the colas.
- Not checking dense lower bud sites for mold until it's already spread.
